Os Mystery Jets vão lançar a 24 de Março o seu próximo álbum, “Twenty One”. O vocalista da banda, Blaine Harrison afirma que este é claramente um álbum pop, que se contrapõe ao “spaghetti” de estilos, como catalogou o seu último trabalho. O single “Young Love” será lançado mais cedo, a 10 de Março e contará com a participação vocal de Laura Marling.

Animal Collective

Os Animal Collective vão lançar já 5 de Maio um novo EP, “Water Curses” que se segue ao “Strawberry Jam”, lançado o ano passado, e que será editado pela Dominó.

Buddy Miles

O baterista de Jimi Hendrix, Buddy Miles, faleceu no passado dia 26 de Fevereiro, aos 60 anos, em Austin no Texas.

O famoso baterista trabalhou ainda com outras grandes lendas da música como David Bowie, Stevie Wonder, George Clinton, Santana, Muddy Waters e Barry White.

Radiohead

Os Radiohead aderiram ao rótulo verde, participando em diversos eventos e actividades relacionados com esta área. E a banda não brinca com as questões ambientais, sendo que Thom Yorke afirmou mesmo que os Radiohead se recusaram a participar no festival Glastonbury na Grã-Bretanha, devido ao facto de este não ter um bom plano de acessibilidades para o público, que assim ia libertar demasiado CO2 nas suas deslocações para o concerto.

dEUS

Os belgas dEUS vão ter a colaboração de Guy Garvey dos Elbow’s e Karin Dreijer dos The Knife no novo album ‘Vantage Point’, a ser lançado já a 28 de Abril, via V2, que se segue ao muito aclamado ‘Pocket Revolution’ de 2005.

De destacar o dueto entre Guy Garvey e Tom Barman na faixa ‘The Vanishing of Maria Scheider’.
